HECG's 2007 Roof Email Campaign

First off, thank you for stoppin by! Chances are you're visiting this page to confirm the email you received and/or simply browsing the pages of our website.
Either way, the need for materials to achieve several essential roof repairs at the camp this Spring is very real.
If you ARE checking about the email you received, we certainly hope you'll consider the one time $10.00 donation & sending the email to all your family, friends & aquaintances.
If you haven't received an email yet & would like some "no-obligation" information, please don't hesitate to send us an email via the icon at the bottom of this page.

As the email states, HECG is hoping to raise funds at simply $10.00 per donor for the numerous minor to major roof repairs needed here at the camp's facilities. Though $10.00 initally may not seem like it would make a difference, it's actually half a sheet of 4' x 8' plywood or 4' x 4' square of shingles or 5-pounds of roofing nails, which will add up.

These repair range from preventative edging & gutter repairs, additions to sectional re-shingling & complete plywood/shingle replacement. The main initial focus will be the camp's Dining Hall which includes sectional repair to the front half of the roof & complete replacement of the backside. Following that, other buillds such as the Arts & Crafts, Recreation Room, Storage Building & camp's Large Pavilion require varying degrees of repairs.

Though the camp does have some experienced volunteers waiting to help do the work, additional volunteers are more than welcome to assist with the projects, once the materials are available. If you or someone you know is interested in helping out, please send us an email or call the camp so when can notify you as to when the projects will take place.

Likewise, please contact us if you know of anyone who might be able to donate any roofing materials & loan of a dumpster(s) for getting rid of the removed materials.

We'll keep track of the Roof Campaign's progress over the next few months on this page so feel free to stop back from time ot time.

Together, we WILL make a real difference through a place that means so much, to so many. Thank you again for stopping by & we look forward to hearing from you.
UPDATE: HEAVY SNOW CAUSES THE
COLLAPSE OF 30% OF LARGE PAVILION.
To the left, is a view of part of the damaged section of the camp's Large Pavilion. Literally the entire back 30+ feet of the pavilion's roof came down one snowy night in mid-March. When able ot be used, this pavilion was a staple of HECG's morning programs which included basketball, bowling & nature acitivities.
